Spring/Summer

Guitar Guinness Record Attempt – Every year on the 1st of May, people gather in the market square to play the song “Hey Joe” and try to beat their own record from the previous year

Human Library – worldwide movement where the ‘books’ you can borrow  are real people

Night of the Museums – During one night, most of the museums in the city are free from early afternoon to late night

Vertigo Summer Vibes – Free open-air concerts in different parks around the city

Survival Art – Contemporary Art Festival in abandoned building (location changes every year)

SIMCHA – Jewish Culture Festival

New Horizons Festival – Alternative Movie Festival

BuskerBus – International Festival of Street Art 

European Literature Night – Many literature events spread throughout the city

Autumn/Winter

Jazz nad Odrą – Jazz concerts along the Odra river

Kino Mural – Animation and experimental short movies in a few outside locations in Nadodrze district

Moc Nadodrza – Art festival celebrating uniqueness of the district of Nadodrze

Bike days – International Film Festival
